Xekinima - Socialist Internationalist Organisation : ウィキペディア英語版
Start – Socialist Internationalist Organisation

Start – Socialist Internationalist Organisation ((ギリシア語:Ξεκίνημα – Σοσιαλιστική Διεθνιστική Οργάνωση), ''Xekinima – Sosialistiki Diethnistiki Organosi'') is a political party in Greece and the Greek section of the Trotskyist Committee for a Workers' International (CWI).
==Foundation==

The roots of the Socialist Internationalist Organization can be traced back to the mid 1970s, when Greek society was experiencing major political upheavals. This gave the appearance to the public that Greece was moving to left-radical policies as a result of the collapse of the military dictatorship and its international situation.
The initial wave of members came from within the mass workers’ parties of that period, which were the Panhellenic Socialist Movement (PASOK) and Communist Party of Greece (KKE). This group of members were made up of young activists who thought that the policies of these parties were leading the masses to an inevitable defeat. In the young activists' search for answers, they adopted the ideas of Leon Trotsky.
In the late 1970s and 1980s, those organized in Xekinima were able to lead important struggles (both inside and outside the mass parties) of the working class movement, especially inside PASOK, because they were the main constituent of a strong left party that were opposed to the policies of the current leadership. This opposition and their ideas gained support among the ordinary members of PASOK, which led to the expulsion of Xekinima from the party by its own leadership. In the working class' struggles of the late 1980s, Xekinima played a key role in the development of some of the most important industrial battles and in university and technical student struggles.
